Travel Information: Novel Coronavirus Update

March 20, 2020

At Lake St Clair Lodge, the wellbeing of our guests, our staff and our service providers are our foremost concern.

We are vigilantly monitoring the situation and statements released from the World Health Organisation (WHO), Center for Disease Control (CDC), the Australian Department of Health and Tourism Tasmania regarding the novel coronavirus as well as reinforcing guidelines issued from these agencies.

Our hearts and thoughts are with the people that are most at risk, or whom have already been adversely affected whilst the world comes to terms with the virus. We sincerely thank healthcare workers who are taking steps to contain this virus.

Within this climate we know travel may not be your first thought. We want you to know the safety of our guests and staff is our top priority and we thank you for putting your trust in us for your future holiday plans. Following is an update on what we’re doing to help keep your safety assured.

We want you to rest assured that when you book to stay with us, we are doing everything we can to ensure your health and wellbeing. We are closely monitoring advice from government agencies and ensuring that any recommendations related to health and safety are implemented within our own teams.

Before Your Stay

We are aware that travel plans have been interrupted globally as coronavirus is managed.

We are currently adapting our cancellation policy to the evolving nature of this situation. Given the speed at which things are changing in the way the public is being asked to interact with the world, any guests that may have had their travel plans affected, can email [email protected] with a summary of the situation, and a member of staff will contact you to go through options available in these challenging times.

During Your Stay

The coronavirus has required all of us to be more mindful as we go through our regular activities. Our staff are working tirelessly to ensure that they meet the latest guidance from relevant government agencies on hygiene and cleaning. Our measures are designed to address a broad spectrum of bacteria and viruses (including coronavirus). They cover everything from hygienic hand washing and non-toxic cleaning products to engagement and cleaning procedures.

We are also pleased to be able to offer additional support to strengthen your immune systems through our non-toxic natural environment as well as our nutritional organic food and beverage offerings.

Whether you are travelling now or in the future, we acknowledge and recognise that the current times can be unsettling. We want to let you know that your safety and wellbeing are our top priority.
