Lake St Clair sits inside a UNESCO World Heritage Area and is internationally famous for having a pristine glacial topography.
The movement of three glaciers through the region over tens of thousands of years has left a breathtaking landscape that surrounds the deepest lake in Australia. The lake is towered over by magnificent rock formations formed from dolerite columns.
For many months of the year you can expect to see snow on these mountains, some which have peaks in excess of 1,400 metres.
As you enjoy one of the many walks on offer you may pass through ancient Gondwanaland forestry, untouched, unspoiled and unaffected by 21st century man.
You will undoubtedly encounter Bennett’s wallabies, echidnas, pademelons, wombats, spotted quolls and the ever shy platypus.
At the southern end of the lake, by Lake St Clair Lodge, you can find the end of the Overland Track, a renowned six (6) day adventure walk that traverses some of the most beautiful and difficult terrain in Australia.
Within this beautiful landscape we have gently placed our state of the art cabins. These have been carefully situated within the forest to create minimum impact and maximise your experience. You can see our commitment to the environment as you walk along some of the walkways. They respect nature and the majestic eucalyptus by winding their way around them.
What you will not see is that the cabins float on pins as this truly minimises environmental impact.
We also care about your wellbeing and this was considered during the design and build of our cabins.

The cabins have been created to minimise the electromagnetic fog and radiation that we have to live with every day. This will further enhance the clean environment for your stay and help maximise your rest and relaxation.
